Massachusetts Department of Public Health officials have announced the establishment of a cooperative agreement to prepare for the possibility of treating an Ebola patient.
At the media briefing Friday, officials announced that six hospitals statewide will participate.
The participating hospitals are Baystate Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess, Bosotn Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Mass. General Hospital and Tufts Medical Center.
Other hospitals in the state are prepared to screen patients with possible symptoms and would then transfer high-risk patients to one of the six primary hospitals.
Officials reminded the press that there have been no confirmed cases of Ebola in the state.
