Mass. Police Search for Driver Involved in Crash with Motorcycle

Red, four-door sedan could possibly be involved in crash

Police in Bridgewater are searching for the driver believed to be involved in a crash with a motorcyclist and his passenger over the weekend.

The crash happened on Bedford Street at the intersection of Winter Place Plaza at about 8 p.m.

When officers arriverd, the motorcyclist and a passenger of a Harley Davidson were suffering with serious injuries.

Police said in an effort to avoid a collision with a vehicle that pulled out in front of it, the motorcyclist swerved and struck a nearby tree.

The 49-year-old man from Middleborough, was transported to Brockton Hospital then taken by medical helicopter to Brigham and Womens Hospital.

The passenger, a 53-year-old woman from Wareham, was transported to Boston Medical Center by ambulance, also with serious injuries.

After looking at video surveillance from the area, police are now searching for a red, four door sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, that appears to be involved in the crash.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the vehicle, is asked to call Detective Sgt. Anne Schuster at 508-659-1514.
