Mass. Suspect in Maine Homicide Held on $1M Bail

Tia Ludwick, of Leominster, also signed an extradition waiver at a court appearance Thursday

A Massachusetts woman wanted in connection with a drug-related homicide in Maine has been ordered held on $1 million cash bail on a fugitive from justice charge.

The Sentinel & Enterprise reports that Tia Ludwick, of Leominster, also signed an extradition waiver at a court appearance Thursday.

Maine police say the 23-year-old Ludwick is a suspect in the death of Douglas Morin, whose body was found Oct. 16 in a car in Sherman, Maine.

She's the third Massachusetts resident charged in connection with the homicide. A Leominster man and a Fitchburg man are also in custody.

Ludwick's attorney asked that his client be released to the custody of her family, who would ensure she went to Maine to face charges. It's unclear when Ludwick will be returned to Maine.
