The Building Blocks of Love: Massachusetts Couple Gets Engaged at Legoland

The proposal included an engagement ring made entirely out of Lego bricks

A Massachusetts man chose a rather unique way to propose to his girlfriend.

Michael Thousand proposed to his girlfriend, Allison Donlon, on Adult Night at Legoland Discovery Center Boston on Wednesday. The two are big fans of Lego bricks, and so Thousand contacted the folks at Legoland a month ago to arrange the proposal.

The proposal included an engagement ring made entirely out of Legos. Thousand gave Donlon a real diamond engagement ring afterward.

At the end of the night, when master model builder Ian Coffee was awarding prizes, he called Thousand and Donlon's names to receive a special Lego build and gave them the Lego ring. Thousand then got down on one knee in front of the crowd of roughly 250 people and proposed to Donlon. As soon as he did, Donlon screamed, "Yes!"

Thousand and Donlon both live in Chelmsford, but are moving to Michigan for a job at the end of the month.
