A Massachusetts woman is happy she found her jewelry after sifting through 5.5 tons of trash.
The Patriot Ledger reports Cecelia Callahan of Norwell accidentally threw three pieces of diamond jewelry in the garbage.
When she realized what she did, she went to the dump in Braintree to look for them.
With the help of neighbors, waste management and staff at the transfer station, Callahan found the jewelry amid all of that trash.
"I was ecstatic," Callahan told the Ledger. "I thought we’d be digging for days."
