Moose on the Loose Killed by Car in Weston, Massachusetts

Belmont Animal Control says it's the same animal spotted earlier this month

A car struck and killed a moose on River Road in Weston, Massachusetts, on Tuesday night.

The moose was hit around 8:30 p.m., according to the Boston Globe. The driver of the car was not injured, but the moose had to be killed by environmental police.

Officials said the moose is the same one seen wandering through residential areas in Watertown, Belmont and Lexington earlier this month. Weston is about 10 miles away from those towns.
