Officials: Ex-Bank Teller Stole From Elderly Customers

Authorities say the 23-year-old Quist stole from the accounts of two customers, ages 80 and 92

A former teller at a West Boylston, Massachusetts, bank has been charged with stealing $11,000 from the accounts of at least two elderly customers.

Kaylee Quist, of Rutland, was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty in Clinton District Court to several larceny counts.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Quist stole from the accounts of two customers, ages 80 and 92, while working at Clinton Savings Bank.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that Quist has been fired and the bank is reviewing suspicious activity involving other accounts.

Robert Paulhus Jr., president and CEO of Clinton Savings Bank, said all accounts at the bank are insured and the missing money will be restored.

Quist's lawyer did not return calls from the paper.
