Officials ID Father, Daughter Found Dead

Officials have identified the father and daughter who were found dead in an apartment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless said Tuesday that 47-year-old Anthony Nazareth and 11-year-old Hannah Nazareth were found dead on Monday.

The bodies were found by police while they were conducting a well-being check. Officials have not disclosed when they believe the deaths occurred.

Authorities previously said the case was being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, but the term was not in Tuesday's statement which said the cause of the deaths remain undetermined.

Officials said early toxicology testing indicates Anthony Nazareth may have died of a drug overdose but an autopsy for Hannah Nazareth showed no signs of trauma.

The case remains under investigation.
