One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Crash

A man was killed and his passenger suffered life-threatening injuries after a two car crash on Route 3A in Hingham, Massachusetts, Monday morning.

The 51-year-old driver from Quincy, Massachusetts, was operating a 2000 Ford pick-up truck when he crossed over onto the wrong side of the road and hit a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. 

The driver of the Ford was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at South Shore Hospital. The passenger, a 61-year-old Quincy man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was also taken to South Shore Hospital.  He has since been transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital.  Neither were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the Nissan, a 43-year-old female from Marshfield, suffered minor injuries.  She was wearing a seat belt.

The Hingham Police Department are currently investigating the crash but no charges have been filed.
