Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck in Quincy on Sunday.
Shortly before 9 p.m., police responded to the scene on Quincy Shore Drive. The victim, 65-year-old Wayne Guilherne of Braintree, was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation reveals the victim was attempting to cross the road in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle being operated by a 30-year-old Boston man.
The motorist remained on scene. No charges have been filed.
