Pedestrian Hurt As Vehicle Crashes Into Boston Restaurant

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

A pedestrian was struck Thursday morning after a vehicle crashed into a building in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood, according to police.

The incident was reported before 11 a.m. on Washington Street. Police said the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.

Police have not said whether the driver involved in the incident will face criminal charges.

The business the vehicle drove into is a new restaurant, which had a soft opening sign in its window. Damage to the outside of the building appears to be superficial.

Crews were already working on clearing the scene by noon.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
