Bail Set at $5,000 for Accused Drunk Driver in Fatal Crash

The victim, 24-year-old Patrick Stratton, was found suffering from multiple injuries

A Massachusetts man accused of being drunk behind the wheel in a fatal crash faced a judge Thursday afternoon.

Thirty-three-year-old Jason Theriault of Hudson had his bail set at $5,000 and was ordered to not drive and to stay away from alcohol and drugs during his arraignment on motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence.

Framingham police say Theriault was driving drunk when he hit and killed Patrick Stratton, 24, of Framingham at the intersection of Route 9 and Prospect Street Wednesday night.

Police say Theriault stayed at the scene after the crash.

This is Theriault's second OUI charge.

The fatal crash is still under investigation.
