Person Stabbed at Salem State University; Suspect Captured

A person was stabbed Wednesday evening at Salem State University in Massachusetts, authorities confirmed.

School officials confirmed on Twitter that the suspect is in custody.

The victim was taken to Beverly Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect was taken to Salem Hospital for observation.

According to the school, the victim, a faculty member, was stabbed in the neck.

The incident happened at Meier Hall on campus. While the school says there is no danger, people are still being asked to avoid the crime scene.
