US Coast Guard Suspends Search for Possible Person in Water After Overturned Kayak Found

Authorities in Massachusetts have suspended their search for a possible person in the water Monday after an overturned kayak was found in Plymouth Harbor.

There are no correlating missing person reports, according to the Coast Guard.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the kayak was found by a local fisherman off Duxbury Pier Light about 4 a.m.

The kayak is unmarked, 10-feet long and lime green in color.

Crews with the Coast Guard Station Scituate launched a 29-foot response boat and the Air Station Cape Cod launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew to search the waters. Harbormasters in Duxbury and Plymouth in addition to Plymouth fire officials are also searching for a possible person in the water.
