Police Identify Person Who Spent Night in CVS Pharmacy as Runaway Teen

The person suspected of spending the night inside a Massachusetts pharmacy before making off in the morning with candy bars, energy drinks and razor blades has been identified as a 15-year-old runaway.

Police say the person spotted on surveillance video entered the Stoughton CVS at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, stayed inside overnight, then left at about 7 a.m. Monday without being noticed by employees.

Stoughton Detective Sgt. Robert Welch tells The Enterprise of Brockton that the person was identified Tuesday as a 15-year-old Boston boy listed as a runaway from a Department of Children and Families group home in Hingham.

The teenager is now back in DCF care and will be summonsed to Dedham Juvenile Court to faces charges of breaking and entering and larceny under $250.
