Police responded to a fatal three-vehicle crash in Weston, Massachusetts, on Friday afternoon.
State police say the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on Route 20 by Buckskin Street. The road was closed in both directions.
Initial investigation showed a vehicle was traveling westbound before crossing into the eastbound lane and crashing into a vehicle head-on, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
One person was killed, another person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and a third person involved was not taken to a hospital.
The DA's office announced Monday that the victim who died was identified as 71-year-old Robert Lynch of Waltham.
The incident remains under investigation.
