Authorities are investigating a crash that caused serious injuries in Oxford, Massachusetts.
State police say the crash, which involved two cars, happened on Route 20 westbound at Route 56.
Police say the driver of one car slowed when the car in front of it was taking a turn, but that the car behind them did not.
Two people from the car that was rear-ended and the driver of the car in back were seriously hurt. All three patients were taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with non-life-threatening injuries.
Part of the road was temporarily closed after the crash, but it has since reopened.
Massachusetts State Police note that the crash took place more than 500 yards from the curve where a deadly crash happened last week. Neighbors tell necn that curve is extremely dangerous.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
