Police in Canton, Massachusetts, are investigating after an officer found a sign which appeared to be struck by gunfire Sunday.
The officer found the sign on Greenlodge Street Sunday afternoon. It had been struck by at least nine rounds.
Three rounds were recovered in the grass below.
Officials say that there are no residences in the area, but the sign is located at the beginning of a busy overpass.
