Possibly-Rabid Fox That Bit 2 Found, Put Down

A resident reported the fox near Memorial School around 6:30 a.m.

Police in Leicester, Massachusetts, say a possibly-rabid fox that bit two people Thursday was found and put down Friday morning.

A resident reported the fox near Memorial School around 6:30 a.m. Police say the fox appeared to be ill and in distress.

The fox was put down and turned over to Leicester Animal Control.

Police believe this is the same fox that bit two people in the area of Route 56 and King Street.

While police believe this is the same fox, they are telling residents to remain cautious.
