Protestors plan to rally outside court ahead of a hearing for a man accused of brutally abusing a dog known as "Puppy Doe."
Radoslaw Czerkawski, 32, of Quincy, Massachusetts, will be back in court Tuesday for a pre-trial conference.
Prosecutors say he repeatedly beat the year-old female pitbull. Czerkawski faces numerous animal cruelty charges.
Prosecutors also allege Czerkawski stole $130,000 from an elderly woman. He's pleaded not guilty to all charges.
