Richard Family Thanks Marathon's First Responders

The Richard family thanked firefighters at the Boylston Street fire house closest to the marathon finish line for their work as first responders during the bombings

The family of the Bosotn Marathon bombing victim Martin Richard stopped by the Engine 33 - Ladder 15 fire house in Boston Friday morning with Mayor Marty Walsh to drop off cookies for the firefighters there.

The Richard family thanked firefighters at the Boylston Street fire house closest to the marathon finish line for their work as first responders during the bombings.

District Fire Chief Dennis Keeley said it means a lot to the men and woman of the Boston Fire Department that the Richards are part of the effort to turn a day that was so devastating into a day full of random acts of kindness.

Keeley said, "They're such a wonderful family, they're a great role model for everybody else in this city and for them to reach out to us today and come down and see us, it's very special, it's just very special, they're just super."

Before they left, the fire department gave Boston Fire t-shirts to Jane and Henry Richard.
