Man Held on $1M Bail in Connection With Armed Home Invasion That Led to Police-Involved Shooting

A man was ordered held on $1 million cash bail in connection with a violent home invasion that ultimately led to a man's shooting death by Boston police.

Robert Williams, 31, address unknown, was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon after being indicted by a grand jury for home invasion, armed assault in a home, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and unlawful firearm possession.

On Wednesday, a judge oordered him held on $1 million cash bail. He must also stay away from the victim, witnesses and location of the offense.

The charges are in connection with an armed home invasion on Devon Street in February that ended with Williams' alleged associate, Peter Fanfan, being shot and killed by a responding officer. 

Williams is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 6.
