‘Run to Remember' Honors Officers Killed in Line of Duty

A charity road race honoring Massachusetts law enforcement officers and first responders killed in the line of duty featured special tributes to two officers who recently lost their lives.

The 12th annual Run to Remember was held Sunday.

The event features both a half-marathon and a 5-mile run. Both races feature scenic loop courses that wind through Boston's historic downtown.

The event included pre-race tributes to Auburn Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr., who was fatally shot during a traffic stop last weekend, and state Trooper Thomas Clardy, who was killed on duty in a traffic accident in March.

The race is sponsored by the Boston Police Department and the Boston Police Runner's Club to benefit children's charities.
