Sam Adams Brewer Launches Hard Sparkling Water

Although the snowy weather has many of us in a winter-like mindset, a new alcoholic drink may have many of you thinking spring.

Truly Spiked & Sparkling, a spiked sparkling water, has officially hit store shelves.

The drink is gluten-free, and contains just 100 calories per serving.

"A few years ago, I began noticing many of my friends and family members giving up traditional soda for flavored sparkling water," says Casey O'Neill, a member of the team behind Truly Spiked & Sparkling. "I started playing around with alcoholic versions as a side project over a year ago."

It's available in three styles: Colima Lime, Grapefruit & Pomelo, and Pomegranate. It is available in 6-packs for a suggested retail price around $9.99-$10.99 (price varies by location.)

The alcoholic beverage is now available in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Vermont, among other states.

It is from the Hard Seltzer Beverage Company, LLC, an affiliate of the Boston Beer Company. The Boston Beer Company began in 1984 with a recipe that founder Jim Koch uncovered in his father's attic. That beer was named Samuel Adams Boston Lager.
