School Counselor Accused of Sexual Relationships With Students

A career counselor at a Massachusetts high school is on paid leave after school officials were alerted she may have had sexual relationships with at least two students.

The employee of Medford Vocational Technical High School has been with the district for three years, and has a clean record.

When the complaints surfaced in April, school officials brought her in to the office.

"Obviously she denied it," said Medford Schools Superintendent Roy Belson.

The vocational school shares the same building as the high school.

Students say it's what everyone is talking about.

"It's disgusting," said one high school student.

"It just hampers our reputation," said another student.

The school has notified the Department of Children and Families, and Medford Police are investigating, as well.

It's unclear when the incidents took place, but it could go back to the previous school year.

Necn reached out to the counselor by phone and email, but so far there has been no response. Because she has not been charged with anything at this point, necn is not identifying her.
