Police in Reading, Massachusetts, continue to search for an attempted carjacking suspect Friday morning and are asking the public to be on the lookout.
Before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, police say a suspect tried to carjack a victim at the parking lot of Home Goods on Main Street. He fled before police arrived.
A "shelter in place" order was issued for Wood End Elementary School. The school was deemed safe and secure by police, and additional officers were in the area as a precaution.
Officers searched the area, but were not able to find the male suspect. He is described as clean-shaven, in his 20s, 6’0” tall and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with an unknown logo and a black baseball cap.
