A sex offender charged with duct-taping a teenager was captured after he attempted to escape from a Massachusetts jail.
Peter Bardzik, 53, was caught Sunday night after he attempted to flee from the Middleton House of Corrections by climbing over a barbed wire fence, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
Bardzik significantly injured himself, according to the newspaper.
The Tribune reports Bardzik was arrested and charged after breaking into two Andover homes in July. In one of those break ins, he allegedly duct taped a 16-year-old girl to a chair and stole $300 cash.
Bardzik is registered as a Level 3 sex offender in Lynn.
