Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Filed Against Boston University Professor

A renowned horn player and Boston University music professor has been sued by two former students who say he sexually harassed them and the school failed to do anything to stop the harassment.

The complaint, which was filed Tuesday in Suffolk Superior Court, alleges that Eric Ruske made "offensive, vulgar, and sexually charged" comments to the women, one of whom still attends BU and another who has since left.

The lawsuit says when the women complained to administrators, BU showed "negligence and deliberate indifference."

The complaint seeks unspecified damages.

Spokesman Colin Riley said the university could not comment because it has not seen the complaint.

Ruske is out of the country. He didn't respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press.
