Suspect Pleads Not Guilty in Fatal Shooting

Brahden Hill pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Brockton District Court on Tuesday.

A southern Massachusetts man has been held without bail in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man over the weekend in Brockton.

The Brockton Enterprise reports
20-year-old Brahden Hill pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Brockton District Court on Tuesday.

He faces a single count of murder stemming from the shooting death of Edward Andrews. He was arrested Monday at his father's apartment in Boston.

Police say Andrews was found unresponsive and bleeding from a gunshot wound on Haverhill Street in the early morning hours of Saturday. He was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m.

Hill fled the scene but was identified as the gunman by a witness. Police believe robbery was the motive.

It's not immediately clear if Hill has a lawyer. He's due back in court Jan. 15.
