Police and organizers say as many as 10,000 people are expected to attend an annual pro-marijuana event in western Massachusetts.
The 25th annual "Extravaganja" is scheduled to run from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday at the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton.
Organizers say the mission is to "dispel the myths, lies and stigmas surrounding marijuana and to reform unrighteous laws."
The event will feature music, guest speakers and art and food vendors.
It's organized by the University of Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition. For years it was held on the Amherst Town Common, but it has outgrown that location.
Northampton police say they will have 20 officers on site to look for "blatant violations" of the law.
