Massive Backup After Tractor-Trailer Rollover on Mass. Turnpike in Millbury

A tractor-trailer on the eastbound side crashed over the median

A crash between a tractor-trailer and a bus on the Massachusetts Turnpike has resulted in closed lanes and massive backup on both sides Tuesday morning in Millbury.

The rollover happened around 4:15 a.m. A tractor-trailer on the eastbound side crashed over the median after colliding with the bus.

The driver of the tractor trailer had minor injuries, and was taken to St. Elizabeth's in Boston's Brighton neighborhood.

According to Megabus, a bus heading from New York City to Boston was involved in an incident in Millbury Tuesday morning.

They did not provide details of the incident, but say Megabus is "fully cooperating with the authorities with their investigation into the incident."

That vehicle currently sits on the shoulder of the Mass. Turnpike eastbound. The tractor-trailer is still on its side with crews working to remove it.

It took several hours for the right lane and breakdown lane on the westbound side to reopen, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
