Trio of Armed Robbers Target Lowell 7-Eleven Overnight

The Lowell Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a 7-Eleven overnight.

Officials received a call about a robbery at the store on Princeton Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. The store clerk alleged three men with "long guns" robbed the store. 

Police confirmed that one robber was carrying a long rifle, the second had a handgun and the last stayed by the front door. The trio fled on foot.

The robbers all wore sweatpants and two had dark-colored sweatshirts. The third suspect had on a dark-colored windbreaker. They all wore hoods to cover their faces.

The store clerk was unharmed during the incident and the business has since reopened. It is unclear what the trio of robbers stole from the store. No injuries were reported.
