One lane is closed on Interstate 95 northbound in Wakefield, Massachusetts, after a Massachusetts State trooper and tow truck driver were hit and injured by a passing vehicle on Tuesday morning.
The trooper and driver were taken to Lahey Hospital in Burlington with non-life-threatening injuries.
The passing vehicle struck a disabled car on I-95 which the two men were tending to, also hitting the tow truck at around 6:11 a.m. near Exit 40.
The trooper was able to call the crash in on his own radio, reporting that he and the tow truck driver needed medical assistance.
A total of three vehicles were damaged in the accident.
No charges have been filed at this point, according to a state police spokesperson.
State police say a a lane at the crash site on I-95 northbound remains closed.
