PD: Man Rescued From Water in Arlington, Mass., Was Under Influence of Drugs

Arlington Police said they responded to Mystic Lake for a report of a person in the water around 10:30 a.m.

Police say a man rescued from the water in Arlington, Massachusetts, Wednesday was under the influence of drugs.

Arlington Police said they responded to Mystic Lake for a report of a person in the water around 10:30 a.m.

As they approached the swimmer they discovered he was naked. He was combative against rescuers and tried to jump from the rescue boat.

The man, 20, was taken to an area hospital. His current condition is not known.

The man is known to police.

One officer sustained a knee injury during the rescue and will be evaluated.
