Woman Convicted of 5 DUI's Leads NH Officials on Chase: State Police

The suspect, 39-year-old Vickie Thibodeau, has five prior driving under the influence convictions, according to state police

A woman driving with a suspended license from previous DWI convictions was arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly leading police on a chase with her 16-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Vickie Thibodeau, 39, of North Billerica, Massachusetts was arrested for allegedly instigating the chase after she failed to yield for officers in New Hampshire.

State police said they tried to pull over a pickup truck for "an assortment of traffic offenses" on Route 16. After the driver, who was later identified as Thibodeau, failed to stop, the chase went from Wakefield to Dover.

Authorities used stop sticks to deflate the truck's tires and eventually disable the vehicle, according to state police. Thibodeau immediately surrendered and was taken into custody.

She was charged with subsequent DWI, aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, operating after suspension, reckless conduct, reckless operation and speeding. The subsequent charge was given to Thibodeau because she has five prior convictions of driving under the influence, according to officials.

Anyone with more information on the chase is encouraged to share information with Sgt. Nicholas Levesque or Trooper Alexa Williamson by contacting them at 603-323-3333.
