A woman who was hit by a car Wednesday night in South Boston has died, according to police.
The pedestrian crash happened at about 9 p.m. near the area of Summer and Melcher Streets, where two people were hit by a car. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital and the driver remained at the scene.
The fatal victim was only identified as a woman between 20 to 30 years old. The second victim was a man who suffered non-life threatening injuries. His exact condition is unclear.
The incident is still under investigation. It is unclear if the driver will face any charges.
