According to police, 62-year-old Beth Birnbaum was reported missing from the Care One facility at 2101 Washington Street in Newton.

Birnbaum has a traumatic brain injury and is easily confused.

Police say it may be a dire situation if she does not receive medical treatment.

Police issued a silver alert for the woman who was last seen wearing a forest green crew neck sweatshirt, pajama pants, glasses, and red moccasins.

Due to Birnbaum's brain injury, she wears a black and white travel pillow around her neck.
