The Franklin Park Zoo's baby gorilla finally has a name.
One of the baby gorilla's siblings went straight for a box with the name Aziza on Friday morning. The name means "highly esteemed, precious."
Kiki, one of the zoo's seven western lowland gorillas, gave birth on May 14. In recent weeks, necn and the zoo asked you - the public - to suggest some names and then vote on the final seven selections to narrow them down to three.
The final three names were "Aziza," "Kianga," and "Makemba."
The three final selections were put on special boxes, and it was up to Kiki and her other children to choose the baby gorilla's name.
