Nearly 8,000 New Hampshire State Workers Receive 1.5 Percent Increase in Pay

Nearly 8,000 state workers are seeing more money in their paychecks this week.

New Hampshire executive branch employees are getting the first of two 1.5 percent raises starting Friday. The second 1.5 percent increase will take effect in January.

The raise was part of several contract agreements reached with the state earlier this year.

Richard Gulla is president of the State Employees Association. He says the raises show the value of union members sticking together to ensure they maintained their health care, won cost of living adjustments and got an additional step raise.
