New Hampshire Man Arrested for Child Pornography

The Derry, New Hampshire, Police have arrested a man for possession of child pornography.

Richard Germain was arrested in his home by detectives on a warrant charging four counts of Attempted Possession of Child Pornography and one charge of Falsifying Physical Evidence.

The Derry Police began their investigation in January after receiving a tip that Germain possessed pornographic images of children on his personal home computer.

The search warrants were served on January 26, 2016. Police seized several computers, USB devices, DVDs, and electronic storage devices. Three devices were discovered to have their hard drives removed and destroyed.

Examination of the remaining devices led to the discovery of significant number of explicit images of females ranging from the ages of 2 to 12 years of age.

Further examination of the evidence may lead to additional charges.

Germain was held on $9,000 cash bail and was transported to the Rockingham County Jail. He is scheduled to appear at the 10th Circuit court in Derry for a probable cause hearing on March 10.
