Man Dies From Injuries in N.H. Fire

A man died from his injuries following a fire at a 2-story home in Bedford, New Hampshire, Monday night, according to fire officials.

According to the state fire marshal, officials responded to 23 Elk Drive at 11 p.m.

The victim was identified Thursday as 53-year-old Alan Ouellette. He died of smoke inhalation after he was reported to be trapped in the basement. Heavy fire prevented crews from reaching him.

Crews found the man on the second floor of the home after the fire was knocked down. He was transported to Catholic Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
