New Hampshire State Police are investigating a drowning at Echo Lake in Conway.
Around 1:32 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a swimmer who had gone underwater and did not resurface. A short time later, lifeguards located an adult male in the water, brought him to shore, and began CPR.
The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital in North Conway where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
