Officials in New Hampshire and Maine are on the search for a missing man who may have run away from a camping trip early Sunday morning.

Lane Lesko, 19, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was last seen at a remote camping site on Lake Umbagog in New Hampshire as part of a trip organized by Summit Achievement.

According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, Lesko was reported missing at 3:19 a.m. from the Magalloway Plantation camping site, which is in Maine.

A canoe and paddle were missing from the site.

Around 8:15 a.m. a passerby spotted an overturned canoe not far from the area Lesko was last seen.

At 8:42 a.m. a person called police to report their truck was stolen about seven miles south of where the overturned canoe was found.

At 10:40 a.m. Paradise Point Cottages reported a pontoon boat that didn't belong was docked there. It was discovered to have been stolen from a camp in the Rapid River Area.

Police believe the events are all connected with Lesko's disappearance, but say the investigation is still underway.
