Police: 30-Year-Old Man Stalked, Harassed 17-Year-Old Online

A 30-year-old New Hampshire man allegedly stalked and harassed a 17-year-old girl online whom he met through work.

Jason Hunter of 5 Howard St. in Nashua faces one count harassment and three counts of stalking.

Police in Hollis say the victim reported the allegations last weekend, saying that she had been harassed by someone online and via text messages since December.

The victim told police that the person harassing her knew details about her personal life, including where she lived, where she worked and who she was friends with, and used that information to harass her, and that the situation escalated to the point when two men arrived at the victim's home in response to a Craigslist ad soliciting sex.

Hollis police say the investigation led them to Hunter, whom they say met his victim through work and didn't have a relationship of any kind beyond being acquaintances.

Hunter is being held on $5,000 pending a pre-trial conference on March 10.
