Police Arrest Man Twice in 12 Hours

Police arrested a man twice during a 12-hour period in Manchester, New Hampshire.

William Farnsworth, 21, of Manchester, was first arrested after a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Cilley Road and Cherry Avenue around noon on Monday. The Manchester man was charged with conduct after an accident as a habitual offender.

Around 11:55 p.m., police stopped the same Volvo station wagon near the intersection of Queen City Avenue and South Willow Street. The officer said that Farnsworth had been driving, but tried to change positions with his female passenger.

In the second arrest, Farnsworth was charged with violating bail and disobeying a police officer, again as a habitual offender.

Farnsworth was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
