Woman Killed, Several Others Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Ossipee, NH

Police say any criminal charges will be determined upon the completion of the investigation

Police in Ossipee, New Hampshire, are investigating a multi-vehicle crash near the Deer Camp Camping Area that left one woman dead and several others injured. 

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. Tuesday when a Dodge pickup truck traveling north along state Route 16 crossed the centerline and collided head-on with 61-year-old Janet Bauman's Honda sedan. 

The Dodge rolled into the southbound lane and was then sideswiped by a Ford pickup truck. 

Bauman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 67-year-old Gary Baumann, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the Dodge suffered only minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the wreck. 

Police say any criminal charges will be determined upon the completion of the investigation.
