A police officer was shot Friday night in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.
The shooting happened on Cedric Street. The officer is in stable condition at Boston Medical Center, and his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, Commissioner Michael Cox of the Boston Police Department said in a press conference.
The shooting happened during an armed robbery. Cox said two other officers were injured, but not from gunfire.
A suspect is in custody, Cox said.

"I'm just so relieved and grateful to know that the officer is safe," Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said. "We see again and again just how blessed Boston is to have first responders who are so professionally well trained and keeping us safe every day."
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the person shot and with his family," Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said. "We're glad to know that he's going to be OK. We'll conduct a thorough investigation, just as we do with every single case, and every single shooting, that happens in this city."
A heckler interrupted Cox multiple times during the press conference and shouted over him when a reporter asked him a question.
