Outages Impact New England During Storm

Hundreds of thousands of customers were left without power, including more than 180,000 in New Hampshire.

Thousands of New England residents were left without power Wednesday when a winter storm hit the region.

In New Hampshire, as of 8:30 p.m., more than 184,000 customers of Public Service of New Hampshire, Unitil and New Hampshire Electric Co-op were impacted.

Maine Gov. Paul LePage declared a limited emergency in the state, where 52,882 Central Maine Power customers were reportedly without electricity.

In Massachusetts, 20,397 National Grid customers had lost power, as well as 570 NStar customers.

Vermont's largest provider, Green Mountain Power, had 6,497 outages.

There were 3,118 customers of Connecticut Light and Power without electricity.
