Passenger Rescued From Burning Car After Crash

A patrolman and a bystander helped pull a passenger from a burning car after the vehicle he was riding in struck a tree.

The crash happened early Sunday morning on Salmon Falls Road in the area of Woodland Green in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Officers received a report of the crash at 2:45 a.m. and arrived on scene to find a 2008 Subaru Impreza on fire, with the passenger still inside.

Twenty-three-year-old Brandon Littlefield, of East Rochester, N.H., suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

The driver, 20-year-old Kylie Dulac of Barrington, N.H., was already out of the car when officers arrived. He suffered minor injuries in the accident and was also transported to Frisbie Memorial.

Rochester firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, but say the Subaru sustained major damage.

The road was closed for several hours after the accident, in part due to road conditions.

The Rochester Department of Public Works responded to the scene to address the road conditions, and the road was then reopened.

Police say speed appears to have been a factor in the accident, but it remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128.
