A car crashed in Boston's Sumner Tunnel early Sunday morning, leaving the driver dead and two passengers seriously injured, authorities said.
Massachusetts State Police said the crash occurred around 3:20 a.m. on the ramp from the Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Northampton, died at the scene. The passengers, only identified by authorities as an 18-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The ramp from the Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive was closed while authorities responded to the scene, but it has since reopened, police said.
